WhisperLayer ("we", "us") operates the WhisperLayer platform at whisperlayer.app. This Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it.
Account: name, email, password hash, optional avatar and bio.
Content: photos, videos, posts, messages, and metadata you create inside rooms or send to other members.
Usage: pages viewed, device type, approximate location (from IP), and basic analytics needed to operate the service.
Payments: handled by our payment processor (Stripe). We never store full card numbers.
To run your account and rooms, deliver messages and media, process payments and payouts, prevent fraud and abuse, enforce our Terms and Content Policy, and improve the product.
Contract (running your account), legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention, basic analytics), consent (optional marketing emails), legal obligation (tax, law enforcement requests).
We share data only with: infrastructure providers (hosting, database, email, payments) acting as processors; other members where you choose to publish or message; and authorities when legally required. We do not sell your personal data.
Data is stored on secured cloud infrastructure (EU/US). Account data is kept while your account is active and for up to 24 months after deletion for legal and anti-abuse purposes, then erased or anonymized.
Access, correction, deletion, portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent. Contact privacy@whisperlayer.app to exercise them. You can also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
We use strictly necessary cookies for login and session security, and optional analytics cookies you can refuse without losing access to the service.
WhisperLayer is strictly 18+. Accounts found to belong to minors are removed immediately and their data deleted.
We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect.
